Privacy Policy
LAST UPDATED · JULY 12, 2026
Tagwit (tagwit.com) turns product photos into Etsy listings. This policy explains what data we handle, why, and your rights. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the service, we never sell your data, we use no advertising or cross-site tracking, and your product photos are processed in memory and not stored.
Who is responsible
The service is operated by Tagwit(tagwit.com), based in Spain — the "data controller" under the GDPR. For any privacy request, or to ask who the operator is, contact hello@tagwit.com.
What we collect and why
- Account email, and a password if you set one — used to sign you in (by password or by one-time email link) and to contact you about your account. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes by our authentication provider; we never see them. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
- Product photos you upload — sent to our AI provider to generate your listing, held in memory only for the duration of that request, and never saved to our servers or database. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
- Generation records — the optional text details you type and the generated listing (title, description, tags), stored so we can enforce plan limits and, on paid plans, show your listing history. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
- Subscription status— your plan and whether it's active, synced from our payment provider. We never see or store your card details. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
- Waitlist email— if you join a waitlist, we store your email and the plan you're interested in, and email you once when it launches. Legal basis: your request (consent); one email to unsubscribe or ask for deletion at any time.
- Anonymous usage measurement — we count page views and a few product events (for example: a photo was selected, a listing was generated, a plan page was opened) so we can see which parts of the service work. This is aggregate and anonymous: it sets no cookies, does not identify you, is not linked to your account, and is never used to build a profile or track you across other sites. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the service.
We do not use advertising, cross-site tracking, or profiling of any kind, and we never sell or share your data with anyone for their own purposes.
Who processes data for us
These providers process data strictly on our behalf, under their own GDPR-compliant terms:
- Supabase — database and authentication (account email, generation records, subscription status, waitlist).
- Vercel — hosting, content delivery, and the anonymous, cookieless usage measurement described above.
- Anthropic — AI processing of your photo and text details to generate the listing. Data sent via the API is not used to train their models.
- Polar — payments, as merchant of record. Polar is the seller for billing purposes and handles all payment data under its own privacy policy.
- Resend — delivers sign-in and account emails.
Some providers process data outside the EU (for example in the United States); where that happens, transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.
Cookies
We use only strictly necessary cookies: the session cookies our authentication provider (Supabase) sets to keep you signed in. Our usage measurement is cookieless. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies — which is why you don't see a cookie banner.
How long we keep data
- Account data and generation records — for as long as you have an account. Email us to delete your account and its data.
- Waitlist emails — until the launch email is sent or you ask to be removed.
- Photos — not stored; gone when the request completes.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us for access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your data, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@tagwit.comand we'll respond within a month. You can also complain to your supervisory authority — in Spain, the AEPD (aepd.es).
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll note it here and, for significant changes affecting account holders, email you. The date at the top always reflects the latest version.
